Adam Sandler was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 9th 1966. Adam wanted to be a comedian so at the early age of 17 he took his first steps to living that dream. Adam spontaneously took the stage at a Boston comedian club and found he was a natural born comic. He worked on becoming better and better at comedy, while at New York University graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1991. Adam continuously performed in clubs and at the near by universities. During Sandler’s freshman year he had managed to get a role on “The Cosby Show” playing a family friend to the Huxtable’s. Adam was first discovered at a comedy club in L.A by Dennis Miller who had recommended him to “ Saturday Night Live”. The producer of S.N.L believed Adam had big talent. After being on “Saturday Night Live” Adam Sandler started playing roles in movies. Some of Sandlers first hit comedies were Airheads(1994), Happy Gilmore(1996), Billy Madison( 1995) and Big Daddy(1999). These films had lead to the brilliant acting career Adam lives now. As well as acting Sandler produces and writes many of his own films and has composed songs for several of those films, including Eight Crazy Nights and The Wedding Singer. Along with Adam Sandler’s flawless acting career he is a father to his 2 children and husband to Jackie Sandler.
Adam Sandler is a big role model to me. I literately grew up always watching his movies and have loved every single one of them. He is not only a hilarious comedian but he is a phenomenal actor. Adam Sandler has no shame what so ever with showing his culture. He is Jewish and he has no regrets showing this throughout a lot of his films. If you pay attention in his movies his roles are characters who are Jewish. This is important because he shows it is perfectly okay to be who you are and show and be proud of what you believe in. Adam achieving his childhood dreams and beyond that dream is also an inspiring characteristic that portrays. This to me shows that it is possible to achieve your goals, they will happen if you set your mind to it, and really seek out what you want. I love the way Adam Sandler always has a very touching moment in his films no matter how comedic they are meant to be there is always a touching moment or quote. His warm and charming personality is also characteristics that are good to find in a role model and Adam Sandler is both of those things. He is a family man and loves his kids and wife and loves to show it, he is the ultimate family man. I have always admired Adam Sandler and his personality and acting skills.He is my all time favourite actor and the best role model. Adam Sandler does not specifically value all the money he gets from his acting career but the experiences he has from acting. He is happy living out his dream of being a comedian, and being able to see his family happy and well supported. These are values I hope to have one day. Being able to care more so for my family then my own well being and to be comfortable with giving all my time to my dreams and family. My personal favourite movie Adam has starred in was Click. Along with being the star actor in this movie Adam had produced this film. The film was funny and heart warming all at the same time. All the emotions you can think of are felt throughout this entire movie and it is amazing to watch how Sandler can so easily act to the emotion being felt.
